Body Repairer

Duties:

- Identify damage requiring repair on the vehicle;
- Remove the parts required to complete repairs;
- Take measurements of the frame and unibody structure according to manufacturer standards;
- Perform straightening work as required;
- Replace liftgates, doors, hoods, bumpers and windows as required for repairs;
- Repair body panels using the appropriate method based on the material (steel or aluminum), including dent repair, hammering and stud welding;
- Apply finishing body filler after dent repairs;
- Fit and adjust new parts as part of the repair process;
- Identify and perform the appropriate type of welding according to manufacturer standards, including steel or aluminum, MIG steel or bronze welding, and spot welding;
- Identify and use the appropriate type of adhesive for each repair, including high-strength or structural adhesives;
- Repair plastic bumpers using the appropriate method, including heating and reshaping, plastic welding and finishing with specialized adhesive;
- Apply primer after repairs;
- Reassemble and reinstall body components after painting.

Requirements:

- 3 to 5 years of experience is required.
