The successful candidate must have an intermediate level of English, particularly in reading and writing, in order to effectively read, interpret and prepare communications issued by the manufacturer.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics (required);
- Experience managing warranty claims with an automotive manufacturer is an asset;
- Comfortable working with various computer platforms;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities — reporting to the Service Manager, your main duties will include:
- Complete the documents required to process claims, submit them to the manufacturer or supplier and ensure proper follow-up;
- Ensure that claimed amounts comply with manufacturer or supplier standards;
- Follow up on claims to ensure payments are received promptly;
- Analyze claims rejected by the manufacturer or supplier and, when applicable, resubmit them as quickly as possible or obtain authorization to write them off;
- Analyze and review credits;
- Provide the Accounts Receivable representative with the documents required to process accounting entries, receivables, payments and credits related to warranty claims;
- Train internal staff on warranty policies and any related changes;
- Stay informed of all manufacturer recalls and bulletins;
- Perform any other related duties associated with the position.
