Mechanic / Technician

Chambly Honda, a leading Honda dealership on the South Shore, located in Chambly near Longueuil, is looking for a motivated and skilled Automotive Mechanic / Technician to strengthen its service department. You will help provide reliable repairs, fast service and an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic issues on Honda vehicles and other makes according to manufacturer standards;
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs (brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, exhaust, etc.);
- Perform diagnostics using diagnostic tools and software and interpret results to recommend the best solutions;
- Follow safety procedures, environmental standards and shop guidelines;
- Document repairs in the internal system, ensure traceability of parts used and communicate relevant information to the team and customers;
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure efficient repairs and optimal customer satisfaction;
- Keep technical knowledge up to date through internal and external training.

Required qualifications:

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of automotive systems and technologies (experience with Honda vehicles is an asset);
- Strong diagnostic, maintenance and repair skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and stay organized;
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Fluency in French (working knowledge of English is an asset).

Duties to be performed:

- Diagnose and repair gasoline engines, emission control systems, hybrid or electric vehicles, air conditioning and heating systems, gasoline fuel injection systems, as well as electrical and electronic systems;
- ECM – PCM – ECU programming;
- Repair suspension and steering systems;
- Repair and maintain hydraulic braking systems.
