Custom Castings is a member of the Nordstern Group of Companies, which also includes Protek Surface Technologies, Forte Tooling Technologies, and Sure Cast Aluminum Foundry. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:
      • CNC machines
      • Melting furnaces
      • Overhead cranes
      • Hydraulic systems and pneumatic tools
      • Casting machinery and auxiliary equipment
    • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
    • Fabricate parts using welding techniques (MIG, TIG); modify or create custom components as needed.
    • Conduct routine inspections, adjust machinery and document maintenance activities.
    • Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and efficiently - day or night, weekday or weekend, when required. (Additional)
    • Assist in the design and execution of custom jigs, fixtures, safety guards, and machine upgrades.


What You Bring:

  •  
    • Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright Certificate (or equivalent trade certification) is considered an asset.
    • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial or manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail is considered an asset.
    • Standard tool set available.
    • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting pumps, valves, and cylinders.
    • Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs of equipment and work in tight or elevated spaces.
