As the Fleet Services Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet remains in optimal condition, ready to deliver the reliable service our dealers expect and trust. Led by the Transportation and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of maintenance staff and ensure that quality standards and productivity requirements are consistently met.

Shift Available:

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here's how:

  • Oversee preventative maintenance, daily defect reports, repairs and annual safety inspections for trucks and trailers to ensure compliance, uptime, and licensing requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate repair, inspection, warranty, recall, and work-order records, including time, parts used, servicing completed and compliance documentation.
  • Supervise, schedule, assign, and evaluate Truck & Trailer Maintenance Technicians, ensuring productivity, quality standards, required training, apprenticeship support, and current Provincial licensing.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant shop environment by ensuring technicians follow safety regulations and that tools and equipment are certified to Vehicle Inspection and Safety standards.
  • Work with the Parts Coordinator to source and stock parts for timely, cost-effective repairs, including obtaining quotes for non-stocked or high-cost items.
  • Source, review, and coordinate outside repair facilities to ensure work meets Home Hardware repair and safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement by helping the Transportation and Maintenance Manager document and train staff on new technologies that improve repair quality and standard repair times.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, coordinate road breakdown repairs and equipment recovery, and communicate with the Trucking Department to ensure safe, timely solutions and dealer notifications.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by transportation leadership.

We're looking for:

  • Truck & Trailer Mechanics with Red Seal Certification and strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance, repair, inspection and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, schedule and support maintenance technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Committed to safe, efficient, and cost-effective shop operations, with strong decision making, problem solving, prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Experience sourcing parts, working with vendors and repair facilities, and staying current on available parts, service options, diagnostic equipment, programming tools and related technology.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and support road breakdowns, equipment recovery and operational needs.
  • Class 1 license or related training is considered an asset.
  • The ability to be onsite five days a week at our Dealer Support Centre in Debert, to meet the needs of the role.
