We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate General Service Manager to lead our after-sales service department, optimize operations, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Service Manager and Shop Foreman;
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians and service advisors to achieve quality, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals;
- Evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement practical solutions to increase operational efficiency;
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to promote a culture of continuous improvement;
- Optimize workflow, appointment scheduling, and workload prioritization to maximize shop capacity and reduce turnaround times;
- Oversee all health and safety matters within the department;
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements;
- Manage warranty administration, operating costs, and departmental profitability;
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience and professionally handle complex customer situations;
- Support employee development through ongoing training, engagement, and a culture of excellence.
Key duties:
- Recruit and manage staff;
- Implement operational strategies;
- Oversee the service department.
Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience within an automotive service department;
- Strong leadership, team-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire others;
- Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and occupational health and safety skills;
- Strong communication and change management abilities;
- Good knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, warranty administration, SERTI, and service department operations;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the sales, parts, and management teams;
- Relevant education in management, automotive technology, industrial engineering, or a related field. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training is considered an asset.
