Job description
A major employer in Granby’s automotive sector is seeking a Sales Director who can transform an already prominent dealership representing a leading brand into THE benchmark for auto sales in Quebec. As a trusted partner to senior management, the Sales Director strengthens the ties between sales, accounting, and service. It’s a bit like the dealership’s on-board computer!
The successful candidate will inform and educate customers with clarity and tact about protection products, such as warranties, supplemental insurance, and cosmetic services. Their active listening skills and interpersonal abilities enable them to manage the relationship between the customer and the sales representative to ensure the transaction is completed properly. Their thorough mastery of customer files helps build customer loyalty. The Sales Manager knows how to put the customer first while maximizing the dealership’s sales performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financing, insurance presentations, and various protection plans and warranties for customers with versatility and skill;
- Process credit approval requests with discretion and care;
- Provide customers with the necessary explanations to help them better understand market products and available coverage;
- Receive credit applications and propose the most suitable financing solutions;
- Process end-of-month commission reports for payroll and accounting.
Desired skills - requirements, skills, and qualities:
- At least 2 years of experience in sales;
- Proficiency with computer software, including Outlook;
- Excellent command of written and spoken French;
- Knowledge of the Merlin, Serti, and Dealer Track systems is not required but is a significant asset;
- Experience in the automotive industry and a good understanding of applicable laws in the field (significant asset);
- Bilingual in French and English (significant asset);
- Valid driver’s license;
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills;
- Attitude that inspires confidence;
- Innate business acumen and a constant drive to find the best solutions for customers;
- Excellent communicator capable of explaining the manufacturer’s manual in a way that customers can understand.
