Job description

The Opportunity:

Our client, a well-established organization in the automotive industry, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their accounting team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AR professional who enjoys the Accounts Receivable function and is looking for a stable, long-term role within a collaborative team environment. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing receivables, applying payments, reconciling balances, and supporting collection activities while ensuring accuracy and consistency across customer accounts.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Process and apply customer payments accurately and efficiently
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable balances
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding balances
• Conduct collection calls and follow up on overdue accounts
• Manage business-to-business receivables and maintain strong customer relationships
• Support warranty and service-related receivables processes
• Apply credits and payments to the appropriate accounts and transactions
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and collections
• Assist with month-end activities and account reconciliations as required
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to established accounting procedures.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, reconciliations, and payment application
• Experience managing collections and following up on outstanding balances
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience within automotive, dealership, service, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries is considered an asset
• Experience with dealership management systems or ERP systems is considered an asset

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $60,000
