310T Apprentice (3rd & 4th Year) - Milton

This role is based in Milton and offers an easy commute from Brampton, Mississauga, Guelph, Kitchener, Burlington, and Hamilton.

Knowledge and Experience:

 

• Registered 310T Apprentice - 3rd or 4th Year
• Hands-on experience working on heavy-duty or transit vehicles (preferred)
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the trade
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with guidance when needed
• Nice to Have:
  
  • Valid inspector's license (or interest in obtaining)
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) or willingness to pursue

Skills: 

 

• Ability to work independently
• Strong time management skills
• Well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)

Key Accountabilities: 

Fleet Maintenance & Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair

 

• Perform standard maintenance repairs
• Maintain accurate records
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on transit vehicles
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues

Compliance and Safety 

 

• Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
• Adhere to Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations governing the location
• Provide updates on maintenance progress and potential issues
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of work

Parts Management and Inventory 

 

• Procure necessary parts for repairs and maintenance
• Manage and organize parts inventory
• Track parts usage and reorder as needed

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday - 2 pm to 10:30 pm

Wage & Benefits: 

 

• Competitive apprentice pay (80% or 90% based on level), with the opportunity to earn up to $43/hour upon achieving Journeyperson (JP) status

• Vacation: 3 weeks
• Benefits: 85/15 Split (Sunlife)
