Set Up Technicians play a vital role in daily operations of paint and paint assembly systems. The Set Up Technician will work closely with the Leader Tech and supervisor and assist with all operations. Flexible work hours are required as the shift will vary from time to time. Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wages of $24.88
- Paid overtime after 40/hours per week
- Shift Premiums from +$0.40 (Afternoon Shift)
- Paint Booth Premiums +$0.50 (in addition to Shift Premiums)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the painting process, stopping and correcting problems as they occur.
- Perform colour and style change operations.
- Perform paint fluid checks and meter calibrations.
- Start paint equipment prior to shift start.
- Perform pre-start checks and action items (oven temperature, air supply etc.)
- Operate paint system.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance in paint kitchen.
- Load paint into paint pots.
- Clean gun caps and perform minor maintenance on paint delivery equipment.
- Ensure that water wall operates without splashing.
- Receive and store paint.
- Store paint waste materials.
- Verify first off, last off.
- Document daily production and downtime.
- Notify engineer of raw materials requirements and waste removal.
- Prepare Kanban for daily paint schedule, verify WIP.
- Hand paint if required.
- Follow work instructions to produce quality parts.
- Ensure that all parts are delivered to the paint system on time to support production.
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of job duties and be cross trained
- Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.
- TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Must demonstrate a regard for company policy
- Must have strong performance in current role
- Must be able to hit upwards of 50lbs
- Education level will be considered
