Your role:
Under the Forman's supervision, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty trucks of various makes.
Your expertise will directly contribute to ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability of our customers’ vehicles.
Your responsibilities:
• Perform general mechanical work on heavy-duty vehicles;
• Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical inspections;
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues;
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, and air brake systems;
• Replace various mechanical and electrical components;
• Conduct road tests to validate repairs;
• Identify future repairs and recommend necessary work;
• Collaborate with technical advisors and fleet managers;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment;
• Complete work reports with accuracy and transparency;
• Comply with safety standards and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience;
• CPA Montréal certification required;
• Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle mechanics;
• Strong proficiency in electronic diagnostics and diesel systems;
• Knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions;
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a commitment to quality work;
• Strong communication skills;
• Sense of responsibility and safety awareness.
