Jardeg is currently recruiting for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Bonnyville Shop.
The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. At this time, applicants local to Bonnyville and surrounding areas will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction and automotive fleet equipment, including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, service vehicles, etc.
- Running repairs and maintenance work.
- Replacing components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Preventive maintenance and services.
- Complete work according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
- Complete service reports.
- Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment in a field or a yard
- Strong interest in automotive equipment maintenance is highly valued, as the majority of workflow consists of supporting automotive fleet
- Field experience is considered an asset
- Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of safe work practices and job site protocols
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to get to work
