Jardeg is currently recruiting for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Bonnyville Shop.

The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. At this time, applicants local to Bonnyville and surrounding areas will be considered.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction and automotive fleet equipment, including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, service vehicles, etc.
  • Running repairs and maintenance work.
  • Replacing components.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
  • Preventive maintenance and services.
  • Complete work according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  • Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
  • Complete service reports.
  • Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.


Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment in a field or a yard
  • Strong interest in automotive equipment maintenance is highly valued, as the majority of workflow consists of supporting automotive fleet
  • Field experience is considered an asset
  • Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of safe work practices and job site protocols
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation to get to work
