Technician

Chevrolet Buick GMC Valleyfield, member of Groupe Autoforce, is looking for automotive technicians/mechanics.

We're looking for mechanics to join us as a transmission specialist, engine specialist, or other specialities.

Responsibilities:
- Depending on his or her experience and specialties, the mechanic will be called upon to perform various maintenance and repair work on customers' vehicles
- Observe the operation of engines in operation, test the vehicles on the road
- Identify the causes of defects or malfunctions and verify diagnoses
- Repair or replace defective components or parts using hand or power tools
- Test and adjust components to specifications to ensure proper operation
- Complete reports to record defects and work performed

Requirements:
- Professional experience in mechanics (automotive, heavy vehicles, or other similar field)
- Valid Quebec driver's license
- Concern for work well done and good sense of observation
- Tool box
- Good physical condition
- DEP in automotive mechanics (an asset)
- Experience with GM vehicles (an asset)
- Competency card from the parity committee (CPA) (an asset)
