Come grow with us...North American Stamping looking to hire. We are looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team! Hours of work are based on a rotating Days (7:00am - 3:30PM) and Afternoons (3:10pm - 11:40pm) schedule.

Position summary: 

Industrial Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, programming, and repairing production related equipment that meet compliance and customer requirements in safe and efficient manner.

The position duties will include, but are not limited to: 
 

  • Maintains equipment in a like new, "ready to run" condition
  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as directed by the maintenance manager
  • Performs scheduled repairs as directed by the maintenance manager
  • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical breakdowns as needed and completes repairs following NASG best practices
  • Completes detailed electronic work orders daily ensuring all work is documented, with accurate descriptions of the root cause and what was done to repair the problem
  • Orders or suggests ordering maintenance spare parts, consumables and other maintenance supplies as needed
  • Works with outside contractors to complete projects as required
  • Effectively communicates status of repairs, projects or other work as required
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area
  • Must be available for overtime as required to support production needs, both with and without advance notice
  • Must be available to travel infrequently for training
  • Must be able to read/interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams
  • Must be familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Should be familiar with CAD software for electronic drawings
  • Assists in training and baseline certification of new maintenance associates


Qualifications we are looking for include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Valid 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction & Maintenance electrician license
  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Press/Stampings
  • MIG welding experience with robotic welding and metal fabrication an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a team environment.
  • Able to work shifts
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs, stand and walk on a continuous basis
  • Exposure to noisy environment
