Chassis Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team as a chassis technician in Surrey, BC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
 

• Complete repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop under supervision.
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
• Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components.
• Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
 

• Red seal Truck and transport mechanic certification.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• CVIP inspector's licence.
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: 
 

• Must have 1-2 years of experience working with mid-range and/or heavy-duty engines.
• Completing complex internal engine repairs.
• Performing engine overhauls unassisted.
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components (tier 4).
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software.
• Proficient experience in chassis diagnostics and repairs.
• Minimal level of work shop experience required.
• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products.

• Working hours will be 630am to 5pm on a 4X10 schedule

Compensation and Benefits
