Reporting to the Assistant Sales Manager, the Product Specialist will play an essential role in promoting and selling motor vehicles to customers. He/she will be responsible for guiding customers through the purchasing process, answering questions and providing detailed vehicle information.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Greet customers, establish a relationship of trust and demonstrate a serious commitment to customer satisfaction;
- Help customers choose a vehicle by asking them questions and listening carefully to their answers to identify their needs;
- Explain product performance, operation and benefits to potential customers in the showroom or via e-mail;
- Describe any optional equipment the customer may wish to purchase;
- Offer test drives to potential customers and ensure that proper identification is obtained prior to the test drive, in accordance with existing policies;
- Explain the terms and conditions of long-term leasing versus traditional purchase, depending on the customer's needs;
- Obtain the required information and complete all documents needed to prepare a sale or lease;
- Keep abreast of new developments (products, features, accessories, etc.) and their benefits for customers;
- Know and understand all federal, provincial and municipal laws governing the retail sale of automobiles.
MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES:
- Ensure cleanliness of work area;
- Participate in product and service training as requested by supervisor;
- Perform any other duties as requested by superior and as required by the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingualism;
- Valid driver's licence.
