Job description
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who is performance-driven, results-oriented and customer service-oriented. Our dealership is on the West Island of Montreal.
Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on transactions, "T.O." and closing transactions;
- Follow-up on vehicles sold new;
- Follow-up on inventory;
- Follow-up on CRM for all customers (walk-in, telephone, etc.);
- Follow-up on BDC for incoming leads;
- Manage new vehicle advertising;
- Ensure smooth deliveries and customer survey results;
- Conduct formal performance appraisals of reporting staff at set intervals;
- Train and motivate staff and encourage teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment throughout the sales, delivery and follow-up process;
- Ensure that each customer is responded to and served appropriately;
- Be able to know, with precise units of measurement, at all times the performance of his/her team and of each sales consultant;
- Create, implement and manage a tracking system for new vehicle buyers;
- Follow-up, as required, with all potential buyers by creating, implementing and closely monitoring a sales and customer research control system;
- Make recommendations to the General Manager as to which new vehicles should be stocked by color, version and equipment, based on various customer and market analyses;
- Exchange vehicles between dealerships;
- Evaluate pre-owned vehicles, ensuring that titles are in order;
- Collaborate with sales team on programs to enhance new vehicle gross gains and after-sales marketing penetration (finance and insurance);
- Monitor and supervise lease renewal activities.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the profitability of the department. He/she carries out his/her responsibilities by effectively managing staff and demonstrating knowledge of the potential market, established performance standards and a keen interest in profitability thresholds.

- Coaching and mentoring skills;
- Financial management skills;
- Strategic marketing and management skills in response to changing market conditions;
- Knowledge of the Merlin system (an asset);
- Knowledge of the Activix system (an asset).
