Looking to join a fast-paced and an ever expanding organization? Be a part of our dynamic team at Performance Auto Group! We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Coordinator Intern to join our Employee Services team on a 6 month Contract. 

The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinator Intern, provides confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the Group Employee Services Manager and the Talent and Acquisition Team Lead. In this role, you will perform a wide array of administrative tasks and coordinate activities related to full-cycle recruitment activities and onboarding. You are a detail-oriented team player who demonstrates enthusiasm and confidence in the delivery of daily duties. You will be proactive in your approach to providing support with the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Here's what you'll deliver:

Talent Acquisition:
 

  • Deliver consistent and quality service to internal clients (hiring managers and hiring teams) in the pursuit of fulfilling talent requirements of the business
  • Respond to job vacancy and recruitment requests within 24 hours
  • Manage up to 15 requisitions at a time, prioritizing requisitions on level of urgency
  • Conduct discovery meetings with hiring manager to plan recruitment strategy for each assigned job requisition
  • Drafts effective job descriptions that accurately reflects the nature of the position based on the dealerships requirement
  • Post and manage all requisitions on social media sites, college and university job boards, industry-specific boards and on internal employer portal
  • Implement creative strategies to seek both active and passive candidates in a highly competitive job market
  • Vets all incoming applications for vacant positions and general submissions to maintain PAG's talent pool
  • Conducts multi-stage interviews with shortlisted candidates over the phone, in person or through video conferencing
  • Participates and supports managers in the selection of prospective hires following effective hiring practices
  • Conducts background checks on prospective hires
  • Communicates with candidates to keep them updated throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience


Employee Relations/Onboarding: 
 

  • Perform administrative tasks (i.e. answering and placing phone calls/emails, photocopying, scanning, filing, research and data collection, etc.).
  • Deliver high-level customer service to achieve positive working relations with dealership leaders, candidates and employees.
  • Assist the Group Employee Services Manager with preparing employment contracts and amendment contracts for signature.
  • Assist with internal recruitment activities such as employee transfers and promotions
  • Onboard and offboard employees.
  • Ensure all new hire documentation, equipment-related requests, system login and access for new employees is completed prior to their first day.
  • Maintain the Employee Workforce Tracker and ensure employee data is up to date
  • Scan and upload new hire documentation to the payroll database.
  • Track and monitor employee performance reviews on a routine basis.
  • On an ad hoc basis, build reports, both written and graphical, using ADP WFN, Google applications and other reporting tools.
    Assist the Group Employee Services Manager with employee data audits.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies.
  • Exercise full discretion, privacy and confidentiality with information in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Assumes other duties as directed by management and Senior Leadership.


What do you need to succeed?
 

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or related field in process. Must be registered in a HR Co-op program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Google applications, sheets, and team drive.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment while effectively managing competing and changing priorities.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to take initiative in the development and completion of assigned projects and duties.
  • Positive, solution-driven "can do" attitude.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid judgment, problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Demonstrates utmost professionalism in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.

***This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience***

Job Type: Full Time - Temporary (6 month contract)

Salary: $20 per hour
