The Dealership Controller controls the financial affairs of the organization. This position prepares financial statements with supporting schedules to guide the General Manager of the dealership. 

The Controller is responsible for monitoring the dealership's financial direction, policies, accounting practices, as well as conducting relationships with lending institutions and the financial community. The Controller is also responsible for the maintenance of fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, cost accounting and internal auditing. 

Requirements
 

  • Minimum of three years of automotive or related industry experience.
  • University Degree.
  • CPA/CMA designation is an asset.
  • Proven ability to influence change and effectively lead projects; collect and analyze data; and develop and communicate recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Sound understanding of audit process methodology.
  • Strong risk management advisory abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze business process and maintain internal controls.
  • Proficient with CDK and/or Reynolds systems; ability to operate PC-based software, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Strong leadership skills.
