Body Repairer - Painter / AUTO RESTORATION

BODY REPAIRER / PAINTER – VEHICLE RECONDITIONING.

Salary: $36 to $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Permanent Position | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week (Finish at Noon on Fridays!)

Are you a resourceful, detail-oriented and efficient Auto Body Technician / Painter? Do you know that a quality repair doesn't always require repainting an entire panel?

Mazda Val-David is looking for a versatile Body Repairer / Painter to join its Pre-Owned Vehicle Reconditioning Department.

We're looking for someone who knows how to work efficiently, optimize repairs and deliver excellent results while keeping costs under control.

Your responsibilities:

- Perform minor body repairs on pre-owned vehicles;
- Carry out paint touch-ups, spot repairs and paint blending whenever possible;
- Perform surface preparation, sanding, minor dent repairs and panel painting as needed;
- Assess damage and determine the most effective and cost-efficient repair method;
- Avoid unnecessary work and optimize the use of products and materials;
- Ensure a high-quality finish so vehicles are ready for display and sale.

Ideal candidate:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive body repair and painting;
- Excellent skills in paint touch-ups, paint blending and localized repairs;
- Ability to determine when a partial repair is preferable to a complete repaint;
- Independent, resourceful and detail-oriented;
- Strong time management skills and efficient use of materials;
- Ability to deliver quality workmanship without performing unnecessary repairs;
- Experience in pre-owned vehicle reconditioning is a strong asset.
