AUTOMOTIVE BODY PAINTER

CarrXpert Longueuil is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Painter to join our team dedicated to automotive repair and bodywork.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of automotive painting techniques and takes pride in delivering high-quality, precise work.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Surface Preparation
Sand, mask, degrease, and prepare surfaces and parts before painting.

Mixing and Application
Mix and match colours, prepare primers, basecoats, and clear coats, and apply products using spray guns while following technical specifications and safety standards.

Repairs and Touch-Ups
Perform repairs, touch-ups, and quality control checks at each stage of the finishing process.

Masking and Quality Control
Properly mask and protect areas that should not be painted, and verify colour consistency and uniformity under different lighting conditions.

Maintenance
Keep the shop and paint booths clean and organized, and clean and maintain painting equipment.

Teamwork
Work closely with technicians and other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Safety
Follow all safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Technical Skills
Good knowledge of automotive paint products, colour-matching and mixing techniques, and spray-painting equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and colour codes.

Attention to Detail
Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to high-quality work.

Reliability and Independence
Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.

Team Player
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and work under pressure.
