Tool and Die Apprentice

Nartech Metal Products is currently recruiting for a Tool & Die Apprentice position in our Guelph Automotive manufacturing facility. This position would be of great interest to someone looking to become a fully certified Tool Maker in the industry.

This position requires an individual to have a mechanical aptitude, who would be learning to repair progressive, draw and transfer type stamping dies. Operation of tool room equipment and ability to weld tool steel would be an asset for these job duties. The applicant needs to be willing to learn the skills necessary while working to become a certified as a Tool & Die Maker approved by the Province of Ontario.

Preferred experience and abilities:

 

• Mechanical techniques- Tool and Die
• Previous experience around machine shop equipment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Machine shop: 1 year (Preferred)

• Wage starting at $21 - 30, increasing with hours and education taken.
• We are open to taking an apprentice in any level (0-8000 hrs) Level 1-4 etc.
