Our automotive dealership located on the North Shore of Montreal is looking for a General Manager to lead a major growth phase and restructure the Pre-Owned Vehicle Department.
You will take the lead of a business with strong growth potential, with the objective of increasing annual pre-owned vehicle sales from approximately 300 to 1,000 units, while strengthening new vehicle sales to more than 550 units per year.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Restructure the Pre-Owned Vehicle Department;
- Implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability;
- Contribute to the optimization and development of the dealership’s various departments;
- Mobilize teams toward achieving performance and customer satisfaction objectives;
- Maintain an active presence in day-to-day operations and support teams on the floor;
- Monitor performance indicators and ensure targets are achieved;
- Coach and develop Managers on a regular basis;
- Provide overall leadership and management of the dealership;
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies.

Position requirements:
- Significant experience in the automotive industry as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager or in an equivalent management role;
- Extensive knowledge of Pre-Owned Vehicle Department operations, particularly vehicle sourcing, appraisals, merchandising and inventory management;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and structure high-performing processes, including implementing a pre-owned vehicle acquisition system and an effective desking process for both New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Departments;
- Good understanding of Sales and After-Sales Service operations;
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to develop high-performing teams;
- Solid understanding of financial performance indicators, profitability and retail operations;
- Excellent analytical, planning and decision-making skills;
- Proficiency with automotive industry software (Merlin, Serti and Activix are assets);
- Results-oriented, with a strong focus on sales growth and customer experience.
