Who You Are:

Ground Effects is currently seeking an Accessory Installerto join our Operations team in Oakville, Ontario.

The Accessory Installer position is responsible for installing, replacing, or repairing equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This also includes accessory components on vehicles such as grill plates, side steps, and gear shifter knobs, using hand and power tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Refer to weekly installation schedule to determine daily build requirements. Vehicles are to be built on a First In-First out (FIFO) basis unless otherwise stipulated by the Supervisor or unless a "Drop Ship" vehicle comes in. "Drop Ships" shall override the FIFO system.Ensure that all product installed on trucks undergoes a final inspection prior to shipping and is documented on a Final Inspection Check-sheet. Hand in these check-sheets to Supervisor.
  • Ensure that work is being carried out as per work instructions.
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles as required.
  • Perform work in a safe manner per the Company Health and Safety Policy and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Alert immediate supervisor of any problems or concerns relating to safety.
    • Perform work so that production, safety and quality requirements are met
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or familiarity with IATF16949 and asset.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid G Driver's license and be over the age of 21.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and capable of using a wide variety of hand tools.
