Assistant controller

HGrégoire is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join its finance team and support the operations of several of its dealerships.
In this key role, the successful candidate will play an active part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the organization's accounting processes.

*Please note: This position is based at our head office located at 625 Dubois Street, Saint-Eustache, QC.

Schedule: Permanent, full-time, day shift.

Responsibilities
    • Assist the Controller with month-end closing activities
    • Analyze expense accounts
    • Perform bank reconciliations and manage loan accounts
    • Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Record and process accounting files
    • Prepare monthly GST/QST reports
    • Manage inter-dealership expenses
    • Oversee expense accounts
    • Review and analyze schedules and reconciliations
    • Perform the Controller's duties during their absence

Qualifications
    • DEC or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (asset)
    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
    • Customer service-oriented with strong teamwork skills
    • Bilingualism (French) is an asset
    • Experience in the automotive industry is a significant asset
