Pre-Owned Vehicles Buyer

Mazda 2-20, a member of the Groupe Autoforce, is looking for a motivated and experienced Pre-Owned Vehicles Buyer to join our team.

The role consists primarily of pre-owned vehicle acquisition (75%), with a complementary sales component (25%), contributing directly to inventory performance and the customer experience.

Principal responsibilities:

Pre-Owned Vehicle Purchasing (75%):

- Stock the pre-owned vehicle inventory via various sources, including online auctions, other dealerships, fleet suppliers, private sellers, and rental companies
- Analyze the pre-owned vehicle market to identify the best purchasing opportunities
- Inspect vehicles and examine history, damage, and accident reports before purchasing
- Negotiate effectively with sellers and partners to secure the best purchasing terms
- Collaborate with the pre-owned vehicle sales management team to optimize inventory
- Monitor purchasing targets and analyze profitability as well as stock performance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, auctions, fleets, rental companies, and private sellers

Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales (25%):

- Greet customers and provide an exceptional and professional service experience
- Identify customer needs and present vehicles that match their budget and expectations
- Perform vehicle demonstrations and accompany customers on test drives
- Explain sales contracts, warranties, and all relevant information related to the purchase
- Maintain customer files in the CRM (Serti)
- Participate in promotional activities, including vehicle videos and features produced by the marketing team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the manufacturer's products, programs, and promotions

Qualifications:

- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with sellers
- Excellent knowledge of the automotive market and industry, including pricing trends and popular vehicle models
- A dynamic and positive person with a strong team spirit
- High motivation to achieve and exceed objectives
- Ability to communicate in French and English in order to assist our English-speaking customers
- Valid driver’s license
