Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installations, overhauls, modifications, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Lubricate, clean and perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and maintain accurate data maintenance database records.
• Work on equipment based on inputs from drawing, blueprints, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate or repair parts during maintenance
• Repair or replace damaged components using welding, grinding, or machining techniques.
• Operates lift truck, overhead crane, and related equipment to lift, move, and handle tools and machinery parts during repair and installation.
• Complete work order and inspection records & maintain records as per company policy
• Repair and adjust system components such as sensors, transmitters, and programmable logic controllers or remove and replace defective parts.
• Identify and diagnose issues such as cracks, misalignment, or excessive wear.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards and establish safety and housekeeping requirements in the execution of work assignments and in the use of equipment and machinery.
• Assemble machinery equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Plastic injection molding industry

• High School Diploma/GED required. 2 years of Technical or trade school preferred with an emphasis on mold making or maintenance

• Minimum 1-year of previous experience in related position

• Knowledge and understanding of tooling drawings/specifications and engineering standards

• Ability to interpret and understand design software (CAD, SolidWorks, NX)

• Familiar with Hot runner systems and SVG's, able to trouble shoot is a definite asset

• Dexterity to work with precision equipment and tools, as well as have great math skills and judgement. Strong attention to detail.

• High degree of mechanical aptitude, highly focused and driven to learn

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.

• Computer skills, comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Able to learn & use Tooling / maintenance software (Limble)

• Fork Lift and Crane Certifications preferred

• Rigging skills to manage assembled molds and mold plates safely

• Have your own tools and toolbox

• Be a self-starter, be motivated, and able to work in a team environment.-a positive can-do attitude with willingness to learn

• Experience in the Automotive Industry is an asset
