Midland Transport is currently seeking skilled and reliable Truck & Trailer Mechanic at our Toronto Garage. The ideal candidates hold a Red Seal certification and have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. 

Shift: Sunday - Wednesday Night shifts

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks
  • Complete routine maintenance and preventative service on engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, services, and repairs
  • Assist in identifying required parts and supplies for repair
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
  • Reporting nonconforming situations
  • Other duties as assigned by the shop supervisor


Qualifications

 

  • Truck and Coach Technician 310T certificate
  • Two or more years of relevant, hands-on experience post-certification
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems; experience working on trailers is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
