Finance Controller

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Ferrari Quebec is seeking an experienced, highly disciplined, and strategic Finance Controller to oversee the dealership’s financial operations, reporting, controls, compliance, and long-term financial performance.

This is a key leadership role responsible for safeguarding the financial integrity of the organization while providing clear, timely, and actionable insights that support executive decision-making and business growth.

The Finance Controller will work closely with ownership, senior leadership, department heads, banking partners, external auditors, tax advisors, and key stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance, accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and operational excellence.

This position requires a senior finance professional who operates with autonomy, integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence within a high-performance luxury automotive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee the dealership’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes;
    • Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements and management reports;
    • Monitor financial performance against budget and analyze variances, trends, and key performance indicators;
    • Provide financial analysis and strategic insight to support management decision-making;
    • Update forecasts based on evolving business conditions and operational performance;
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, reporting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements;
    • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls to protect dealership assets;
    • Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and Ferrari standards;
    • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate financial and operational risks;
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business needs;
    • Collaborate with department leaders in the preparation and management of annual budgets;
    • Manage relationships with banking partners, external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders;
    • Provide financial guidance, support, and leadership to accounting team members and internal stakeholders;
    • Foster a collaborative, disciplined, accurate, and performance-oriented finance environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience and maturity in the following areas:

    • Finance controlling, accounting, or financial management experience;
    • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes;
    • Financial reporting, variance analysis, and KPI performance analysis;
    • Internal controls, audit, governance, and compliance exposure;
    • Cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management;
    • External stakeholder management, including banks, auditors, tax advisors, and professional partners;
    • Ability to operate with discretion, accuracy, professionalism, and executive presence within a structured environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong financial accounting, reporting, and control expertise;
    • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and performance analysis;
    • Knowledge of tax, regulatory, compliance, and financial governance requirements;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.?    • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
    • Ability to work closely with ownership, senior management, department leaders, and external advisors;
    • High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment;
    • Automotive dealership experience is considered an asset;
    • Luxury automotive, luxury retail, or premium brand;
    • Experience is considered an asset;
    • CPA designation or equivalent senior finance experience is preferred;
    • Knowledge of Italian language and culture would be considered a significant asset.
