Trailer Mechanic

Remorques 125, a dealership specializing in the sale of new and used trailers and tractors, is currently seeking a trailer Mechanic to join its team. Renowned for its expertise, quality service, and extensive inventory, the company meets the diverse needs of its customers throughout the Lanaudière region.

In this key role, you will directly contribute to the smooth operation of the workshop and to customer satisfaction by performing repairs, servicing, and maintenance on various types of trailers.

Duties and responsibilities:

    • Perform preventive and general maintenance on trailers (axles, suspensions, brakes, drums and hubs, wiring, lighting, hydraulic units, bodywork, and other related components);
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trailers;
    • Test, adjust, and verify mechanical, electrical, and structural components to ensure they function properly after assembly or repairs;
    • Prepare and inspect new trailers prior to sale;
    • Document work performed in technical records and report any anomalies or additional repairs required;
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure customer satisfaction and the timely delivery of equipment;
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Desired skills:

    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanics;
    • Must have your own toolbox;
    • Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs independently, take initiative, and demonstrate resourcefulness;
    • Strong attention to detail, with a constant focus on precision and quality of work;
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
