Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our administrative team and help keep our financial operations running as smoothly as our vehicles.

The Role:

As our Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in the daily financial operations of the dealership. Working closely with the Controller, you will handle accounts payable/receivable, vehicle costing, and day-to-day data entry. If you are a numbers person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves the automotive industry, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile vendor statements, prepare cheque runs, and manage collections.
- Deal Costing: Verify and finalize sales contracts, calculate commissions, and process vehicle licensing/registrations.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations, cash drawer balancing, and monthly manufacturer statement reconciliations.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records in our Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Administrative Support: Assist the finance team with month-end closing procedures and filing.

What We Are Looking For:

- Experience: 3–5years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (Automotive dealership experience is a massive asset).
- Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel. Experience with DMS software (like CDK Global, Serti,PBS) is highly preferred.
- Language: Bilingualism (English and French) is required to effectively communicate with our team and local vendors.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
