Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring the performance of sales activities within their territory, as well as for business development. The incumbent plays a key role in achieving business results, developing new markets, ensuring the quality of services provided by Garantie Nationale, and in motivating and developing their team.

This position represents a strategic opportunity to implement senior management’s vision, positively influence relationships with retailers, and actively contribute to the organization’s growth and reputation in the market.

What you will accomplish with us—as Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Acting as management’s representative to retailers;
- Maintaining close relationships with key partners;
- Effectively managing at-risk or high-potential accounts;
- Collaborating with the claims department and internal teams;
- Establish and validate annual sales targets for account managers, with adjustments made throughout the year as needed;
- Monitor account progress, analyze variances, and implement action plans;
- Optimally allocate accounts, taking into account workloads, volumes, and territories;
- Participate, as needed, in product presentations and strategic meetings;
- Provide the resources, tools, and guidance necessary to achieve objectives;
- Maintain a high level of motivation, engagement, and commitment;
- Foster teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration;
- Respond quickly and diplomatically to challenging situations;
- Participate in the selection, onboarding, and integration of new team members;
- Identify development needs and provide coaching to employees.

What could accelerate your success in this role—we are looking for someone who:

- Has at least 10 years of experience in the automotive sales sector;
- Has experience in personnel management, considered a strong asset;
- Demonstrates proven experience in developing new markets;
- Possesses excellent knowledge of the market, the role of a financial director, and the operations of a dealership;
- Demonstrates inspiring leadership and a strong team spirit;
- Possesses excellent coaching and sales development skills;
- Must hold a valid driver’s license;
- Excels in communication, stress management, and prioritization;
- Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English, as the candidate will be required to communicate with internal and external clients across Canada on a weekly basis.
