Job description

Join the Ride at Grande Prairie Volkswagen!

Position: Sales Manager

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Classification: Full-Time, Immediate Hire

At Grande Prairie Volkswagen, we believe that a dealership is only as strong as its people. While we are proud to be part of the national AutoCanada network, our day-to-day focus is local: building a world-class team and serving our Peace Country neighbors with integrity.

We aren't just looking for a "numbers person." We are looking for a leader.

We believe that skills can be taught, but motivation, coachability, and integrity are part of who you are. If you are a high-character individual who understands that your primary job is to support, coach, and grow the people around you, we want to talk to you.

Why You'll Love Leading Here

Our leadership philosophy is simple: We build our team from within. We value consistency and transparency. You won't be a cog in a corporate machine; you'll be a mentor to our sales consultants, a partner to our management team, and a champion for our customers. We work hard, we stay fast-paced, and we celebrate our wins together as One Team.

What Drives Your Day-to-Day?

  • Coaching & Mentorship: Acting as a hands-on leader for our sales team, helping them hit their targets through consistent support and training.
  • Operational Integrity: Ensuring every deal and every customer interaction is handled with transparency and honesty.
  • Strategy & Growth: Implementing sales plans for new and pre-owned vehicles that align with our local market.
  • Customer Experience: Curating an environment where every person who walks through our doors feels valued.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with our Service and Finance departments to ensure a seamless "one-team" experience.

What We Are Looking For

We believe the right candidate prioritizes people over processes.

  • Character First: You are a person of high integrity who honors commitments and builds trust naturally.
  • The "Coach" Mentality: You understand that your success is measured by the success of the consultants you lead.
  • People Skills: You are approachable, professional, and possess a well-defined sense of diplomacy.
  • Growth Mindset: You are self-motivated and eager to learn the Volkswagen and AutoCanada way of doing things.
  • Experience: While 3-5 years of automotive management is ideal, we prioritize leadership ability and a proven track record of being "coachable."

The Perks.

  • Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package
    • Employee Vehicle Purchase & Service Plans
    • Employee and Family Assistance Programs
    • Company-wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar year
    • Professional development and the opportunity to grow your career

And those are just the basics. We strive every day to create a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensures fairness and equal opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging for all Team Members. As an equal opportunity employer, we actively support everyone in expressing themselves and reaching their full potential.

Can you picture yourself here already?

We hope so. It's equally as important that you choose us as we choose you. Take a sneak peek at what we think makes this one of the best workplaces around.
