Company Overview:
Tiercon Corp. is an automotive supplier committed to the design, manufacture and assembly of quality exterior trim and assembled systems used as original equipment in the automotive market. Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Shipping Coordinator at our 352 Arvin location.
Job Summary & Reporting Structure:
- Coordinate activities, training and process improvement of the Shipping/Receiving Department and its staff
- Ensure accurate and timely shipments to and from Customers and Suppliers
- To be familiar with, practice, promote and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.
Responsibilities:
- Rotating with a team of 4 coordinators (days & aft)
- Responsible for managing forklift drivers loading and unloading trucks
- Responsible for picking, labeling and staging orders
- Ensure the correct part is shipped on time
- Send electronic ASNs/Invoices
- Validate Supplier shipment and report errors promptly
- Liase with customers, suppliers and logistics companies as required
- Cycle count finished goods/WIP material
- Ensure proper FIFO of all materials and manage log
- Report discrepancies to appropriate departments
- Ensure warehouse is kept organized and tidy (daily safety walk through)
- Track and report damaged containers, coordinate with appropriate teams on internal or external sourced repairs
- Maintain internal and external packaging inventories
- Maintain internal packaging flow throughout supply-chain
- Support/Involvement in Physical Inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Just in Time environment an asset
- Forklift Experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office, QAD an asset
