Technical Recruiter, Skilled Trades

Opportunity:

Toromont Cat is looking for a Technical Recruiter, Skilled Trades with to hire skilled trade workers(Heavy Equipment Technicians / Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics; Welders; and Machinists). This role will effectively source, recommend, and influence successful hiring outcomes. This role is permanent, full-time and directly impacts Toromont's business growth with accountability to drive skilled trades recruiting KPI's.

A Typical Day @ Work:

 

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy workplace behaviours at all times
• Proactively source skilled trade workers through various strategies and initiatives to meet Toromont's annual recruiting goals; conduct pre-screens and behaviour based interviews.
• Manage background checks and behavioural assessments to completion for hires.
• Leverage our ATS (UKG / UltiPro) and other data tracking tools in a timely manner to capture and all recruiting activity for effective reporting.
• Deliver a superior customer experience to all customers and stakeholders
• Undertake other relevant assignments as required in support of the business

Requirements:

 

• 3 - 5 years of experience recruiting for Heavy Equipment Mechanics / Technicians and related skilled trades (Heavy Equipment Dealership recruiting experience is an asset)
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar; a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources or similar designation is an asset
• Experience with UKG / Ultipro Recruiting module
• A skilled trades license (421A; 310T is an asset)
• English written and spoken, bilingual (English / French) is an asset
