Position Summary
The Chief Isaac Mechanical Automotive Technician Apprentice is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks)
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify potential safety concerns
- Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure proper operation
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs
- Follow safety standards and company procedures at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Automotive Technology certification preferred)
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license (clean driving record preferred)
- ASE certification (preferred but not always required)
