The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer Associate supports plant performance by developing labor standards, wage incentive plans, and data-driven recommendations that improve productivity and cost efficiency. This role conducts time studies, staffing analysis, ergonomic evaluations, and job analyses to ensure optimal utilization of people and equipment across manufacturing operations. The associate partners closely with Engineering and Production teams to support efficiency studies, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital justification efforts. In unionized environments, the role also assists management with labor issues and supports effective labor relations.

- Plays a key role in continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence, partnering with Engineering and Production to conduct efficiency studies, support capital justification, improve plant layout, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and MOST methodologies.
- Acts as a critical liaison between management and the hourly workforce, supporting labor relations, resolving grievances, and representing the company in arbitration when required, particularly in union environments.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain labor standards and wage incentive plans by conducting time studies, setting paperwork rates, and evaluating motion and ergonomics to ensure fair, efficient, and productive operations.
- Analyze and optimize staffing levels and labor requirements by assessing production volume, ticket fluctuations, and plant capacity to support cost-effective manufacturing operations.
- Perform detailed job and work analysis to evaluate responsibilities, physical demands, skill levels, and working conditions, providing data-driven recommendations to management.
- Partner with Engineering and Production teams to conduct efficiency studies, support capital expenditure justifications, and recommend plant layout and process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and MOST methodologies and serving as a technical resource to production teams.
- Assist with labor relations activities by supporting management with labor issues, grievances, and-when applicable-representing the company in arbitration cases.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a Master's degree in a related field considered a plus.
- Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, partnering with multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams to achieve cost-effective production goals.
- Experience applying industrial engineering principles such as time studies, labor standards, staffing analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background working in a unionized manufacturing environment, including exposure to labor standards, grievances, or labor relations activities, is beneficial.

$70,955.00 - $131,774.00
However, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
