Who You Are
Ground Effects is currently searching for a Program Managerto join our Engineering team in Windsor, Ontario.
In this role, you should be a strategic project planner that can design and implement programs with various projects and activities that will add value to the company. You will assess the impact of these programs, decide on priorities, set milestones, and ensure completion within time and cost limits.
What You Can Expect From the Role:
The responsibilities of the Program Managerteam member are as follows:

- Participate in the development phases of programs from receipt of quote request through to the
production launch and ensure they follow a structured APQP approach and meet all internal and
external requirements including cost, timing and quality- Generate thorough program timelines and ensure all milestones are identified and
implement corrective action activities when milestones are not achieved - Create a program budget based on the information generated by the estimator and ensure
the program meets or exceeds these budget guidelines and coordinate change requests
as necessary - Assist with the development of a strategic plan for Ground Effects that correlates to the
overall organizational goals. - Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned to promote the growth and
advancement of Ground Effects
- Generate thorough program timelines and ensure all milestones are identified and
- Ensure that all customer specific requirements are captured and completed for new product
launches.- Meet directly with suppliers and customers in matters relating to product design, and
changes in manufacturing.
- Meet directly with suppliers and customers in matters relating to product design, and
- Develop and maintain timelines for each project so as to readily identify the status of each project
and eliminate/minimize potential problems.- Prioritize all timelines and APQP's for all projects
- Implement and chair weekly meetings and appropriate personnel to discuss project
priorities, customer needs and APQP status. - Ensure that all new designs follow a planned and structured approach
- Manage specific product design projects from concept to production resulting in a high quality and
reliable product- Ensure that all new designs follow a planned and structured approach.
- Participate in the creation of DFMEA's and provide input into creation of control plans and
PFMEA's. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of all processes, software and equipment utilized in the
performance of job.

What Qualifications and Skills Do You Possess?
- University/College Graduate, or equivalent certification in Engineering
- Engineering background or 10 years of related progressive experience
- 3-5 years experience as Program Manager in a manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of QS9000 requirements including experience with documentation and implementation.
- Experience with APQP process including FMEA and Control Plan development.
- Minimal experience with CAD usage.
- Computer skills in spreadsheet and word processing applications in a Windows environment.
- Team oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid Ontario Driver's license.
- Must have and maintain legal entry status to the United States.
Compensation and Benefits
