Job Opportunity

An industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stampings and assembly has a career opportunity for a CNC Programmer/Machinist. We are a full-service tooling provider of both progressive and tandem dies, specializing in deep draw, aluminum, ultra high strength steel (UHSS) and complex stamping dies.

We are recruiting for a vacant position.

Hourly Rate = $25.00 - $33.00/hr

Job Summary

 

  • Program and operate CNC equipment - cut die blocks / die sections
  • Boiler plate and tool steel machining
  • 2- and 3-dimensional machining and programming
  • Routine maintenance / troubleshooting CNC equipment and software
  • Work with CNC coordinator and engineering staff on various projects


Job Requirements

 

  • General Machinist (Red Seal) or Mechanical Technician /CNC certification or equivalent combination of technical courses and/or experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a machining environment, Tool & Die industry is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of Lemoine programming software
  • Basic experience with Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers
  • Experience with 5-axis machining and/or working with Work NC would be an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and team mentality
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organizational skills
