Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. About The Role
Position: Temporary Fuel & Lube Technician
Schedule: 7/7 - 12 Hour days and Nights
Reports To: Construction Supervisor
Term: May- October 2026
Position Overview
Reporting to the Construction Supervisor, the Temporary Fuel & Lube Technician or Labourer (Construction) will provide general support to the Rainy River Coeur Construction (NGC) for the TMA Stage 8 Raise construction and other projects as required. This temporary position will have a six (6) month term anticipated from May to October 2026 and will be based at the Rainy River Mine Site in Blackhawk, Ontario.
As a member of the Coeur Capital Projects department, the Temporary Fuel & Lube Technician or Labourer (Construction) is expected to live by the Coeur values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in their daily work. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to and compliance with all company and industry Health & Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility policies and is responsible for engaging their work with the Courage to Care; never compromising on safety, looking out for one another, and stopping work if it is not safe.

Qualifications
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and self-starter approach.
- Demonstrate commitment to working safely and creating a safe working environment for others.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal, listening, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience operating equipment, in construction, or in mining industry is an asset but not a requirement.
- Physical fitness is an asset as manual labour is required in this role.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED Preferred
- Valid Canadian Driver's License for Fuel and Lube Technician
- Hold or Obtain Fuel & Lube Training, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training (Conducted on Site)
- Hold or Obtain Ontario Common Core Training (Conducted on Site)
Working Condition
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind conditions.
- Working outdoors on uneven terrain and slopes of various materials in active construction areas.
- Driving, walking, and working in congested high-traffic mining and construction areas with heavy equipment.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items required (typically less than 23 kgs).
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $58,000 to 61,000.

Work Schedule
- 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
- Wednesday to Tuesday Working Schedule
- 12 Hours Per Day, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Alternating Day Shift & Night Shift for Fuel and Lube Technician
