Job summary:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of CPA Mauricie’s operations in accordance with the committee’s bylaws and regulations. He or she will be responsible for the implementation of all development projects and will ensure that objectives and goals are met.
Job Ddescription:
• Ensure sound management of the organization’s physical assets and finances by preparing budgets, financial statements, statistics, and various necessary reports;
• Monitor accounting and cash flow;
• Oversee the collection and deposit of funds through financial institutions;
• Ensure the smooth operation of professional qualification exams and collaborate on the development of various qualification and continuing education programs;
• Manage all staff (hiring, supervision, evaluation, engagement);
• Ensure, through a team of inspectors and internal auditors, the enforcement of the Decree so that laws and regulations are known and respected;
• Participate in and represent the CPA on various committees deemed relevant to the organization;
• Serve as secretary of the committee and ensure the implementation of decisions made during CPA meetings.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, labor relations, or equivalent experience;
• 5 years of experience in a similar position and in a labor relations setting is an asset;
• Knowledge of the Decree and the automotive sector (strong asset);
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet;
• Basic understanding of laws, labor standards, and accounting.
