Overview:
The Electromechanical Test Lab Engineer will work with customers in defining the test request, obtaining buy in from local management for cost, timing, material and headcount requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive/Material Engineering required from an accredited university
• 2+ years of experience on the effects of corrosion on various metal alloys/compositions
• Knowledge of vehicle body, chassis and suspensions systems
• Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA
• Strong time management, leadership, planning and follow up skills
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Team Center and NX knowledge would be an asset
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada with ability to travel to USA

 Preferred Requirements:

• Previous experience in paint and corrosion evaluation is desirable
• Engineering experience within the automotive industry, testing experience preferred
• Will consider new graduates with related co-op experience
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Good communication and leadership skills are required to coordinate and instruct bargaining unit mechanics.
