Position Overview
Dilawri is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our National Operations team at our Dilawri Front Street Office in Toronto, 87 Front Street E.
The Financial Planning & Analysis department is focused on delivering impactful reporting and analysis to the executive team to support effective business management and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will provide actionable, data-driven insights to support business decisions and financial initiatives across the organization.
The successful candidate will report on performance against forecast, budget, and OEM peer groups while ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and meaningful financial information.
Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 annually
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting for each store and region in the dealership group, working with accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Review and interpret actual results against budget and prior years, identify trends in sales, F&I performance, parts and service departments and summarize the results for the leadership team.
• Prepare quarterly performance presentations for regional executive meetings.
• Responsible for compiling large amounts of data and validating the accuracy of report outputs.
• Calculate and summarize the lost opportunity for each dealership/brand based on peer group performance.
• Develop simplified reporting for management using MS Excel and Looker
• Participate in review meetings which includes responsibility for documenting issues and action items, as well as proactively working on resolutions.
• Provide supporting financial analysis for new initiatives and other ad-hoc analysis requests.
Qualifications Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field is required
• Accounting designation (completed or in progress) is an asset
• 3-5 years of progressive experience with planning, forecasting and business analysis
• Specific experience with an OEM/manufacturer or automotive dealer group is considered an asset
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of employees including executive management
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft office particularly Excel (Macros, Pivots, XLOOKUP's etc.) and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy and personal initiative
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Highly motivated, self-starter, with the internal drive to learn and grow
