This is a hands-on role where your decisions, attention to detail, and commitment to safety directly impact customers on the road and on the job site. As you grow, you'll have the opportunity to step into more independent work, including mobile and roadside service, with a clear path toward running your own service truck.
This full-time, permanent position based on Hwy 7 in Peterborough, ON. includes rotating shifts, with on-call periods.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of your work; install, repair, rotate, and balance commercial tires with precision and confidence.
- Perform thorough inspections (inflation, tread, condition) to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
- Work both in-shop and on-site, supporting customers with dependable, safety-first service.
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing recommendations that keep their equipment running and compliant.
- Operate tools and equipment responsibly, following Kal Tire protocol.

Qualifications:
- Experience in the tire & automotive industry.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Safety-first mindset (PPE, procedures, awareness).
- Ability to work independently and stay accountable.
- Valid driver's license (required for mobile work).
- Physically capable (lifting, outdoor work, fast-paced environment).
