Job description

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the concession. The jobholder ensures the integrity of financial data, adherence to deadlines, and the optimization of administrative processes.

Key responsibilities:

– Oversee the entire accounting cycle (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations);
– Prepare monthly and annual financial statements;
– Analyze financial results and produce management reports;
– Monitor margins, inventory, and operating costs;
– Manage government rebates (GST/QST, DAS, etc.);
– Participate in the budgeting process and financial forecasting;
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards and manufacturer requirements;
– Mentor and support the administrative team.

Desired profile:

– Degree in accounting or administration (DEC or BAC);
– Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in a car dealership;
– Excellent command of the full accounting cycle;
– Good understanding of financial statements and performance indicators;
– Rigorous, self-motivated, and organized;
– Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel).
