Job summary
Are you a people person with a passion for cars? We are looking for a Body Shop Advisor to be the face of our shop. In this role, you will guide customers through the repair process, from the initial estimate to the final delivery. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction, managing the workflow with our technicians, and ensuring all Accounts Receivable are handled accurately.
Key responsibilities:
- Customer Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear updates on vehicle status and explaining complex repairs.
- Estimate Management: Work alongside estimators to review repair plans and communicate costs/timelines to customers.
- Receivables & Billing: Finalize invoices, collect deductibles, and follow up on insurance payments/supplements to ensure a zero-balance at delivery.
- Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to ensure parts are ordered and deadlines are met.
- Insurance Liaison: Communicate directly with insurance adjusters to secure authorizations and process claims efficiently.
Required skills & qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years in an Automotive Service or Body Shop Advisor role.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills. You must be able to turn a frustrated customer into a loyal fan.
- Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of billing, accounts receivable, and basic math to handle payments and supplements.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the collision repair process (knowledge of CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex is highly preferred).
- Organized: Ability to manage multiple "moving parts" simultaneously without dropping the ball.
