Position Description:

The Senior BW Consultant is a professional who will lead the SAP BW strategy, architecture, implementation, and transformation projects for our clients. The Senior BW Consultant will ensure that business requirements are implemented efficiently and according to plan and that the client goals are satisfactorily attained. The Senior BW Consultant will be accountable for solution design, development, and deployment. This will entail developing effective working relationships with the client team to understand their business warehouse, reporting, and analytical requirements. Project effort and resource estimation skills are required, as is the ability to collaborate with the client to agree on the scope of deliverables and milestones. 
The Senior BW Consultant will lead the solution design, development and deployment of SAP reporting and analytics across multiple functional areas. The Senior BW Consultant will present weekly status updates to the CGI and/or Client Program/Project Manager. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Senior BW Consultant is responsible for identifying and obtaining the data required to satisfy the requirements of a BW project and has expert-level knowledge about the different flavors of BW (BW, BW on HANA, BW/4HANA; BDC). The scope of data involved may include SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC-centric data, external legacy data or third-party data.
The Senior BW Consultant will be responsible to:

. Establish connections to BW source Systems
. Activate standard Business Content
. Develop the BW data architecture including design and specifications
. Enhance the InfoProviders (ADSO, Composite Provider and Classic InfoProviders) as required based on the BW data architecture
. Enhance the Queries as required based on the BW data architecture
. Define Authorization profiles and access
. Evaluate statistical performance and make recommendations for BASIS support to optimize settings where possible
. Identify the data in source environments
. Map the data to the BW environment
. Identify data quality gaps
. Develop the plan to close data quality gaps
. Develop the required extraction programs, if necessary
. Develop the associated interface programs, if necessary
. Test all developed programs
. Ensure integration testing of data from various sources
. Develop the Production Cut-Over plan that includes data conversions, security deployment, final validations and testing, and Post Go-Live Support.
. Execute on the Production Cut-Over plan.

The Senior BW Consultant will work closely with other SAP team members responsible for other SAP functional areas and have a thorough understanding of the way the data is used to make business decisions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. SAP Certified (SAP BW on HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, BDC)
. 15+ years of BW implementation experience
. 15+ years of deep FICO integration along with Finance business processes
. Experience in LSA++ architecture design, data modeling, integration, and analytics
. Strong experience with modeling SAP BW's ADSO, Composite Provider, Open ODS Views, BEx, and Open Hub
. Must have very strong demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP HANA modeling (Analytical View, Attribute View, and Calculation View)
. Ability to write SQL Scripts, Store Procedures and integrate them in within the Views
. Understand HANA Developer Studio
. Knowledge of ADT and CDS Views
. Ability to run SAP HANA Plan Visualizer (PlanViz) to analyze performance bottlenecks in the HANA views
. Understand the techniques to optimize performance of HANA Views
. Understand the filters and parameters used for HANA Views and how to effectively deploy them
. Solid written skills to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
. Knowledge of BOBJ, Qlik, or Tableau reporting tools would be a nice to have
. Excellent oral and written skills
. Thoroughness and clarity in definition of specifications
. Rigorous testing skills
. French speaking is an asset
. Collaborative team player

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115000 - 165000. This role is an existing vacancy.
