We are seeking a Director of Fleet & Maintenance based out of Edmonton, AB to lead and elevate fleet operations across our growing network of divisions. This is a key leadership role responsible for maximizing uptime, driving cost efficiencies, ensuring compliance, and building a best-in-class maintenance program across a large and diverse fleet.
This role will be accountable for delivering measurable results across key performance indicators, including fleet uptime, cost per mile, preventative maintenance compliance, road call frequency, and asset lifecycle performance. The successful candidate will leverage data, reporting, and continuous improvement strategies to optimize fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Lead fleet maintenance operations across all TF Energy divisions
- Manage and develop shop managers, maintenance teams, and external vendors
- Implement and enhance preventative maintenance programs
- Drive cost control and budget optimization (parts, labor, vendors)
- Ensure full compliance with NSC, CVSA, and provincial/state regulations
- Oversee asset lifecycle management (spec'ing, procurement, disposal)
- Partner with operations to ensure fleet readiness and availability
- Utilize data and reporting to drive continuous improvement and performance
- Support and reinforce company-wide safety initiatives and standards
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in fleet maintenance or transportation operations
- Proven experience managing multi-location, large-scale fleets
- Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty equipment, trailers, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated experience leveraging fleet management systems and maintenance software to optimize operations; experience with MIR PM programs is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and execute strategy
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost efficiency initiatives
- A proactive, hands-on leadership approach with a focus on results
