Controller

Reporting directly to the franchisee, the Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the finance department. He or she will play a strategic role in the company’s financial management and in optimizing accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire accounting cycle;
- Conduct analyses and prepare various reports;
- Ensure tax compliance (GST/QST, government rebates, CNESST, Summary 1, Training Act);
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements;
- Manage the payroll process and ensure compliance with applicable standards;
- Perform and supervise month-end and year-end procedures;
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls;
- Participate in budget development and financial performance monitoring;
- Supervise, mentor, and oversee the tasks of the accounting clerk to assist during vacation periods, month-end, and peak periods;
- Collaborate with management on financial and operational decision-making;
- Perform bank reconciliation and monitor general ledger accounts.

Profile and requirements:

- Experience in the automotive industry required (10 years);
- Strong command of the full accounting cycle and financial statements;
- Excellent people management and communication skills;
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently;
- Proficiency in Excel, Serti, and Nethris;
