This position is part of the Strategy, Planning & Performance team in the Director's Office of Fleet & Inventory. As the Business & Data Analyst, you will support Fleet & Inventory's business and operational needs by analyzing and reporting on information extracts from various sources to assist leaders with data-driven decisions, process improvements, operational efficiencies, and predictive planning. This role will work collaboratively with subject matter experts and vendors to continuously improve processes, applications and systems. Primary duties include:
- Conduct data modeling, analysis, and validation to support business decisions.
- Identify and recommend process, operational, and financial improvements.
- Analyze financial data, budgets, and cost structures to inform rate reviews and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and monitor performance metrics and key performance metrics (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
- Generate actionable insights through data visualization and storytelling.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support long-term projects across divisions.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of data quality, particularly financial data anomalies.
- Contribute to enhancing data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Provide training on data analysis tools and techniques.
- Document processes and findings for knowledge sharing and standardization.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, business performance management or a related area.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is essential, along with experience in Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, DAX, and SQL.
- Expertise in business analytics, statistical analysis, performance metrics, and data visualization, along with a strong understanding of data science concepts, is considered an asset.
- Experience in database management, computer programming, business process improvement, quality assurance, and project management will be an asset.

- Financial acumen, strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills to translate business and financial requirements into technical specifications, as well as present complex data in a clear and accessible manner. This includes leading presentations, workshops, and training on data solutions and reports.
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to proactively identify solutions that adapt to changing business needs.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners, the ability to proficiently deal with multiple competing priorities and strong critical thinker with an aptitude for problem solving and dealing with ambiguity are also desired.

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
